Default HID changes from '03 to '04?

I know the housing is different, but does anyone know if the color temperature of the
xenon light is the same? Also, are ALL S2000's auto levelling xenon's? Do they
reset every time you turn the car on?

i don't think they changed the color - and no the hids are not auto levelling - hence the reason everyone thinks you have your high beams on them

My friends Mazda 3 (euro) has auto leveling HID, it adjusts itself each time you start the car.

yea my '01 looks to be about 4300K too, very white. The TLs use 7200K I think.

The 04's HIDs look different to me than the 03's.

The TL's are 4300k as well, OEM HIDs are 4100k to 4300k because in that color temp produces the most light. Most Japanese Cars are 4300k and most euro made cars are 4100k. But all OEM HIDs fall within this range.

exceptions: Yellowed or Amberd HID driving/fog lights.

Actually it's more of a euro thing, I can't really think of any japanese car that has autoleveling...

The RX-8, 350z, STi and EVO have self-leveling HID's. My friend has an EVO, and compared to the S2K, his HID's suck, even with the self-leveling adjustment! I'm much more impressed with our HIDS. Definitely some of the best lights out there.
