Its getting worse. Today I was fortunate enough to take the S2000 to the Christmas eve dinner (dry roads for once). I drive about a 8 mile stretch of back roads (no ambient street light). I was flashed by just about every car (were talking like 20+ each way). I find that driving the S2000 at night kinda stress's me out now. I'm always hoping the road ahead has not bumps.

Maybe yours are aimed a little high? I'll scan and post the aiming procedure from the service manual if I have time tomorrow.

Harvey Jr. may have a good point about adjusting them down. I have noticed that on level roads mine do not hit on-coming traffic in the eyes. Hills make a big difference though.

y2ks2k,

I have the exact same problem, I do alot of driving in the evening and I at least a half a dozen people who flash me thinking my high beams on. They used to anger me, now I just flash them back.

I think your lights must be mis-aimed. I have had my car now for six weeks and I have not been flashed once.

I recently drove ahead of another S2000, and the driver side headlight was aimed too high. The owner said it was adjusted by the dealer after he complained it was too low. His passenger side headlight never flashed me, so I asssume this can be satisfactorily corrected.

I had problems getting flashed, so I adjusted them down some, and it solved the problem. I adjusted them so that the right side would not be higher than the outside mirror on a large vehicle (I used a van down the street for aiming) on level ground. The left side is significantly lower.

It is interesting to see the comments in this thread. With all the cars being made at the same factory, and if the dealer doesn't dink with the lights, they should be all the same. I haven't been "flashed" once (no comments necessary). Lights seem to be set below vision of most oncomming traffic. Just an observation

My driver's side light was set so low from the factory that it was unusable at night over 40 mph. When the dealer "matched" the other light the flashing problem began. I will be lowering it gradually until I find a happy medium.
