Default higher capacity oil filter

Does anyone know of a high/higher than the pittifulkly small stock oil filter that is of high quality? I am currently using the Mobil1 M1-104 and would dearly like to find a bigger Mobil1 and or K&N that has the same OD and O-ring dia(or slighty larger that will properrly seal on the factory housing. An alternate solutuion woould be a sandwished adaptor that would fit up to the factory housing and then offer a bigger OD to nount a larger filter. Things we need to be careful of are inlet area, filtering media area and good quality filter media, flow etc.

Two things a high quality bigger filter will offer is increased oil volume, a minor degree in cooling and a reduced pressure drop w/o having to utilize any bypass valve function.

Does anyone have any educated solutions?

thank you in advance...
Bruce

is the oem (15400-PCX-004) filter larger than m1-104? I always thought it was. I went to an autoparts store and wanted to see which filter mobil1 specified for us and thought it was smaller. If it is, then go with oem.

S2000 oil filter thread
This subject has already been beat to death
If you want mess around and find big filters with with the same OD and o-ring just go the parts store and compare the other filter sizes against the S2000 specific filter

If you want to go to an extreme, you could consider my setup:
Dual Remote Bypass Filter Setup
Here's my last UOA.
I currently have 26,000 miles since this last oil change.

The SDF-15 full flow filter that I have been using is huge compared to the PCX or Mobil 1 filter. The bypass filter is even bigger.

the stock filter is not "small" at all...it's actually oversized for a 2.2 L

it's also NOT about size, remote dual filters work when there is enough energy to the filter and past it.

Nissan is a perfect example, they figured out that making a smaller more efficeint filter it would do a better job and (help) keep pressures up.

their V8 for the Titan and the 350z use TINY filters, actually the same one. I mean TINY....
