But is that 320ps to the wheels or at the crank? 260whp is about 300-310hp at the crank with the driveline loss.

Neveronlines2k...was the 275hp that Mine13's car pulled done on Church's Magic Dyno?

why does everyone think church's dyno reads very high.. it's a serious question.. i've seen it posted everywhere just not sure.. what is a stock ap1 or ap2 reading on that dyno?

becuase every car that dynos on it makes more power then you would expect. heck bolt on ap2s with a tune dyno near 250 on his dyno 230whp is what i believe is the benchmark for a bolt on ap1 or ap2 with a tune.

i suppose its becuase its a dynapack dyno....but then it should not be called whp if you take the wheels off. my biggest gripe with those dynos is that right on the screen it says flywheel hp. i truthfully think its trying to calculate flywheel hp but someone told me it calls the hubs flywheels.

anyone wanna just call the manufacturer of the dynapack dyno and ask?

ahh so it is a dynapack.. from what i understand, the % drivetrain loss on those are about 9-12%... it's not that they read high its just how they read since they are attached to the hubs

my tuner also uses a dynapack.. a stock ap2 will read about 220whp on that..

at a 9% loss, that is 242 crank hp.. on a 12% loss that is 250.. i do not know what exact loss % is specifically but 242-250 crank hp sounds awfully right.. the ap2s are known to be more powerful than ap1s

my bolt on ap2 (at the time) hit 250whp on the dynapack.. the delta here between the baseline was 30whp.. what's wrong with that? K&N intake, T1R70, 70mm test pipe, and j's header

i dont know why everyone is so hung up on the number itself.. only the delta matters..

And on Shawn's Dynapack a stock AP2 will read 240, that is why it's called a Magic Dyno.

ahh i see!!

in any event, i think the delta matters the most.. i think most would agree.. the only way to make a fair comparison among two cars is same dyno, and same conditions
Yes, it's more about using it as a proper tool then an end all comparison.

From what I understand...Shawn's dyno got dropped during a move and it never calibrated right again. For tuning it doesn't matter...but for "bragging rights" always have to ask if it is a west coast person posting numbers.
