To those who are wondering how a focus could get away from an S... on populated streets...

Don't you think you would drunk-drive a stolen car more agressively than someone who loves their car? I'm not surprised at all the focus got away if he was prepared to do crazy shit. I won't jeopardise mine or others lives to chase a car in traffic over a fender-bender. Think about it guys, it wasn't a racetrack.

That is a good point and all, but a focus is slow in straight-line speed and probably will understeer like crazy when attacking a corner where-as the S is only pushing 75% of it's capability in the same corner at the same speed as the Focus.

Obviously, I am talking out of my ass. I have never driven a Focus and I don't plan to.

Man that sux to hear... Happy you caught the bastards. You should testify and bring a sad story of how the whole experience has traumatized you and how you felt that your life was in danger. Make the judge feel for you and put him in your shoes so he throws the book at that kid.

Sucks that happened. I had some guy pull a hit and run on me last month. I got his plate though. Now he has to go to court for evading responsiblity, and he lost his license for 90 days.

His insurance company isn't convinced that he's liable for the accident, since he made up a bunch of BS in his statement to them.

Apparently when you evade an accident and get arrested for it, the insurance company doesn't see this as having anything to do with liability...

Still surprised that a drunk kid in a Focus was able to out run you. However, better safe than sorry.
