Default Hitch Installed

Hey all,

I got a hitch installed today by Doug Chase. I am not towing trailers of wheels to the track, I am using it for carrying my bikes. This is my first convertible and I have always used a roof rack in the past. Obviously, I cant use the roof rack, so this is the next best option. I did try a trunk rack once, ONCE! I couldnt muster the thought of possible scratching the paint and stressing the trunk lid. Doug did an excellent job. The hitch seems to be bullet proof and it is very unobtrusive. Removal is also pretty simple. if you need a hitch, I recommend contacting Doug at www.chaserace.com

I would post pics, but I dont think I can since I am not a member. If this is wrong, let me know how to get the pics uploaded.

I gotta see pics of that. I was planning to keep my integra just to transport bikes. You can post pics if you can post text. You might just need a hosting co. I use my student www account...

If you have a website or server where you can post pics, you can type in the reply box (click the more options button first) then click the IMG button and paste the url address string where the pics are and they'll pop up on s2ki.

I emailed Doug and he said he was finishing an 04 tow hitch (must have been yours) and then would start on my hitch for my 01 S. I can't wait.

Thanks for letting us know how you like it.

Very nice, how much play is there in the mounts when you have the hitch intalled with the bikes on the rack? Im eventually going to have to get a trailer to tow my wheels to autocrosses and track days. I like how you can take off the hitch when you don't need it.

Little to no play. I was surprised how solid it was.

That looks like it will work much better than a roof-rack on my integra. I wonder if I can find someone with those skills locally. Two questions:

1. Can you lock everything up pretty well while on the rack?

2. How much $$$?

Looks like you found a place to host your pics...

It looks like it would be good for hauling snowboards too if the car was safer in the snow...

You said removal was easy but it looks like it would still be a pain if I only wanted the hitch on the car when I went biking two days per week.

Would be nice if there was some kind of quick install/removal of the hitch or if the hitch was more tucked under the bumper I might leave it on the car but as it looks in the picture I would only want it on my car while I was carrying my bike.

Anyone else got a picture of a hitch installed on their S2000 that looks different than this one?
