I believe that the HKS hiper was dicontinued and now they replaced it with the hi-power version. I know that a lot of people with the hiper version had rusting problems, but that doesn't seem to be the case with the hi-power even though neither one is fully stainless. I have a hi-power so I really can't comment on the hiper, but from the soundclips I have heard it sounds different than my exhaust. I'm not sure if/what they changed between the two.
