Thumbs up S2000 Keyless Entry Remotes & Programming

What does your local dealer charge for S2000 keyless entry remotes?

My Honda dealer wants $99 a piece plus $35 for programming for each of my cars (00 Silverstone S2K, 00 Accord EX).

I'm curious to see what other dealerships are charging for new remotes and programming.

I'm done with ebay because the listings show new remotes, and 3 out of 3 times I've won - I end up with junk that doesn't work and won't program. First one was superglued together and cracked. Can't check the battery if you can't even open it. Second one was completely corroded inside from water and didn't work. The 3rd one only 1 button worked and it looked like someone tried to superglue the circuit board pieces back together. Each one was advertised as new, or like new and they obviously weren't anywhere close to that. The Keyles Ride site is run by one of those same lying ebay sellers, so thats off the list too.

What does your local dealership charge? I bet there's some that want even more than what mine is charging.

Thanks, I checked their site and its about $70 with shipping, so I browsed around some more.

I found another site that sells the keyless entry remotes - www.ThePartsYouNeed.com

The KR site wants about $70 a piece with shipping, almost dealer retail price for the S2000 remote, and they're half that price on thepartsyouneed site with the instructions included. I ordered 1 for now.

https://www.thepartsyouneed.com/displayProd...g?productId=153

I'll keep you guys posted. If it works good, I'm going to order one for my Accord as well.

Interesting site but it seems to me that $30.00 for shipping such a tiny little item is a bit high.

Should be about $0.39 or so; I think one stamp will cover the shipping on one.

Did you try to get ur money back from those ebay sellers? You should try local sellers, sometimes they pop up every once in a while.

Xviper...you must have read something wrong up there?

handa-accessories wants $67.21 shipped. ($59.53 + 7.68)

KR wants $65 ($59.00 + $6)

Https://www.ThePartsYouNeed.com only wants $39.99 for the S2k remotes with cheaper shipping too.

Oh yeah, about ebay, I filed complaints with USPS since I paid with a money order - but I doubt that will go anywhere. I can't post a negative feedback for the sellers because as soon as I started asking for a refund I was told that if I leave them anything but a positive feedback I will get a negative?!?!? I guess thats why they had decent feedback because they threaten like that. Im not going to ruin my 100% rating after 6 years for some idiots.

I did file complaints on ebay too but I never received any response about that. I think they just keep it on file.

I notice one seller, "eagles_wingz" is now suspended tho, looks like he ripped off A LOT of people recently, since he has like 60 new negative feedback.

You're right, when you said:

I interpreted "their site" as meaning that "parts you need" site. Wires crossed.
