Default HKS Hi-Power Dimensions

Ok so I'm going to pick up an HKS exhaust on Saturday and I wanna avoid taking a truck if possible because of the horrible gas mileage. I have a dodge neon in which the rear seats fold down, meaning I have lots of length.

Just curious if you think the exhaust will fit OK in the trunk and just have the mufflers and stuff sitting inside the cabin. I can take measurements of the trunk if someone can take measurements of the width tip to tip and length.

If necessary, I can take the exhaust apart, but don't want to do that at the sellers house if possible.

Comments, or anyone have the dimensions??

TIA.

-Mike

It comes apart into 4 pretty small pieces. Should fit into any trunk no problem whatsoever. I would however wrap some towels or something around the tips/canisters to keep them shiney

Don't have the dimensions but it won't fit in the trunk all together. Don't know if neon's have a fold-down rear seat but if you do, that might do it, depending on how wide the opening is. Like TB said, breaking it down into the four pieces (two cans, y-pipe and straight pipe) isn't a big deal and that will definately all fit in the trunk. You got a nice deal, I saw this up on the FS forum earlier this week.

when i got my hks, i had it in 4 parts..its came new though....however, it doesnt seem to wider or much long than stock, and i was able to fit my stock exhaust in the back of a mazda tribute...i doubt it will fit in a neon though. but a tribute isnt a big 'truck..if you call it that' at all either...

good luck man.

there's 2 mufflers, the y-pipe that connects them, and the pipe that goes to the cat. it should all fit in the neon's trunk if disassembled.

I put all 4 parts in my S2000 trunk (no spare tire or tools). Fit with plenty of space.

I guess I'm bringing the tools and some WD40 to disassemble it.

It needs a nice polish and cleaning anyways.

Use PB Blaster or whatever it's called. WD-40 sucks for loosening bolts.

OK, thanks. They should come right off anyways without any help. Seller thinks the previous owner had put new hardware on and the pictures show it. The bolts are bling blingin.
