Default HKS Hiper dyno

From the vids i have seen the hks hiper sounds (and looks) awesome. one thing that concerns me is someone mentioned a possible loss of hp. i know an exhaust isn't going to free up a lot of hp on this car, but i definitely don't want to LOSE hp. anyone have their car dynoed with this exhaust? also, does anyone know exactly how much it weighs? i've done a search but it doesn't seem like this is one of the popular exhausts around here. which i actually kinda like.

btw, here's a link to the vid i am talking about. the thing i love about this exhaust is it sounds moderately aggressive without that bumblebee in a can sound as the engine winds down. how does this exhaust compare in terms of loudness with others? i don't want an obnoxious exhaust.

You don't lose any HP. You don't gain that much either (maybe 1hp ). You do save about 17 lbs. I put mine on a bathroom scale and it weighed 33 lbs compared to the stock 60 lbs.

The sound is what made me buy it. It sounds really nice. Aggressive but not fart can sounding. It is not too loud if that is what your concerned with. You can easily carry on a conversation in the cabin. Of course if you hit 8-9 k with it then it will scream. Unless you go single there is very little to gain with a dual exhaust on this car. 2-3 hp max on average.

I had this exhaust. I dynoed 204 rwhp with the exhaust being my only mod at the time. The sound is second to none. I didn't get a baseline before I put it on. I have a MY01.

my bad, I was typing really late at night. Was almost The stock weighed about 55 lbs. (I just weighed it at home on the same scale) So 55-33= 22lbs weight savings.

I thought this exhaust helped a little on top end. Mid range seemed to drop a bit. I like the sound during acceleration, but it gets kinda droning at cruising.

I like mine, and it it doesn't really drone. Especially when compared to the Spugen Dual Ti that I had before. That puppy really roared, but droned alot too.

i also love the sound of this exhaust, but i've also heard a lot of people saying that it loses hp.. i wish someone would get an actual dyno on it... but from what e-hezzy got from it, it seems like it gained a few hp, concidering the average stock s pulls in 190 to 198rwhp...
