My guess is that you don't have a single exhaust.......if you would, you would not dare argue this point.......the power increase is by far noticeable....just race an S2000 with a single exh. system (j's or spoon) and tell us about it.

I won't tell you about it.. ask the guys with the single exhaust (include a J's) and other mods that did not keep up at the last informal drag race we had at the NT autox.

BTW, a 'straight pipe' does not include mufflers.. that was a comment on the efficiency of the stock exhaust system.

Mugen is no doubt producing very good products, and I have my fair share of experience with it. I'm don't have any documentation to prove that a single output is better than twin maybe because it happens to occur to you that it's also greatly for marketing and consumer relations? Then again, you're probably right that the Mugen setup is the best but my opinion truly stands on an N1 setup nevertheless.

IMO, just purchase the exhaust (minus the crap out there) you can get the best deal on. Buy used if you have to. I`m not a big fan of i/e/h mods on an s2k, but the exh does make the car look better

I bet that extra mid-range torque helps out due to your Mugen header? Why don't you give me money so I can buy the Mugen header & then we'll race & see who wins? In case anybody doesn't know, I have a single-outlet exhaust. Either way people go, I feel an aftermarket exhaust system makes the car look better (all s/s or titanium muffler & tip(s)).
