HKS -- SLANDER! Why?!
you could always have your own single exit built at a local shop, and have them fit a HKS hi-power, or carbon-ti on the rear....
which is what i plan to do on my car...but i will be having much bigger piping than the norm haha...(big turbo)

Some say power loss some say power gian nominal etc etc.
Hands down the overall best sounding exhaust if you are wanting to be quiet in low RPMs and then hear it wake up in VTEC.
If you want loud all the time there are louder more agressive sounding duals and singles out there.
for the best of both worlds, the choice is HKS
I like the sound of this exhaust with the rear resonator removed. it makes it a bit more throaty in the high end.
I had this exhaust for almost two years. I went with Invidia for larger exits and looks.

I've had two HKS exhausts in my term of S2000 ownership.
1. To this day, to me, it was definitely the best sounding exhaust I've heard for a street S2000 (hands down best).
2. It was/is lighter than the stock exhaust, that's a plus.
3. There were no measurable hp gain, but did have a 1-2 ft/lbs of torque gain just before and after VTEC on dyno runs I did a long time ago. That's a plus (but really the very slight gains could just be from factors of dyno'ing on different days, weather, etc.).
4. One thing I noticed on drives with the HKS exhaust vs. stock, was that the motor kept its revs up better between gear changes with the HKS vs. stock. The motor wasn't working as much to get back the the revs it lost from upshifts. That's a plus. At the time, my one and only mod was the exhaust (there was no variation with intakes, headers, etc.)

As a generalization, HKS craftsmanship is less than stunning......
Great sound though for the S

HKS makes very high quality parts, they generally dont make much parts for Honda, they do a lot of tuning for Supra's and Evo's and some nissans. They just dont touch Honda too much, they made a ton of parts for my Supra and I loved them all, all very high quality. The s2k, has many high quality parts from other companies, mainly mugen and J's.

. I loved it when I had that combo. No power loss with that combo
