I think the HKS has ~1-2hp gains by itself, which can easily turn into a loss on a dyno, if conditions aren't identical to the baseline.

I almost bought one, but I couldn't stand the idea of something other than stainless steel for the pipes. I've seen used HKS exhausts for sale, and they don't seem to hold up very well over a period of time.
Those are the old models. The new models dont rust. Ive had mine for 3 years, of abusive NY weather, salt and all, and it looks brand new.

slander is spoken...when it's written, it's libel. I would have gotten the HKS, but I fell in love with my Invidia again when I outfitted my baby with a test pipe.

Thanks for the info TJ, I may just go ahead and order it tomorrow. I plan on putting a Comptech blower on in a month or so, will this exhaust suffice for that as well? I've noticed on their website they sell a few different configurations and diameters.

If you're going to SC it, I think you should go with a more free-flowing exhaust. The 70mm Sparrow or even the Invidia would be better options...

I've been wondering about the WS too. Your post is the first I read about that exhaust for the S. Did you end up getting one for your car?

I think it is similarly priced to the HKS. I wonder which is lighter?
Yeah, I ended up getting the WS2...I'm not a big fan for loud exhaust, especially for this car..I'm not a JDM whore either...Out of all the S2000's around that I have heard, I like the HKS, WS2 and stock....Everything else that I have heard in PERSON (Which I have heard many) is ricey to me...I think you should go with the HKS if you want something that has a more noted exhaust tone, but not too loud..The WS2 is just a tad louder than stock, but gives a nice, deep tone and no raspy noise no matter how high the revs..As far as gains, I have only seen a couple of dyno's that prove that a exhaust alone makes power...Usually the single, JDM one's do, but I can't justify paying $1,200+ for something that only makes a couple of HP and sounds like shit unless I was to go FI...
