...or in the case of my prankster co-workers, they took the cover off of my car and put in on S2k Dude's car. We park next to each other at work, I guess it was good for a laugh -- once. I've been using the lock cable recently because of wind, but it does keep the cover on MY car!

is the cable and lock supposed to come with the cover or is it ordered seperatly? We just tried the cover out tonight, no cable or lock. My car was totally bombed by birds**t when I came out from work tonite. I was so embarrassed to even be seen in it.....it was literally covered. I couldn't even put the top down there was so much there that I didn't want to scratch my rear window(plastic), so when I got home my husband washed it good and we tried the cover....guess I will be using it now at work

The slides are made of rubber and polyester of some kind, are mounted on the bottom of furniture legs and the like. The just make a good flat surface to tie to one end of the cord so it doesn't pull throught the hole in the cover. Other approaches would work just as well.

Finally, the photos...

The hook attaches to the edge of the frame rail under the door.
