About 20 years ago I was driving a Fiat 2000 Spider in heavy traffic and some crazy in a Dodge Charger pointed a revolver at me and made some threatening comments. I quickly lost him in traffic, but within a week I had a concealed carry permit and a Desert Eagle in 44 mag. under the seat. In the 20 years that I've carried the gun in the car I've never been unfortunate enough to have to use it, but it's still there, just in case.

People were a lot more polite when almost everyone carried a side arm.

 

How do I go about getting a concealed permit?

Where i live you can go to the DL office and get one for a 100 bucks.

i have a 308 cal....its small but if you hit em he aint gettin up.

 

He probably thought you cut him off. Or maybe he was on drugs. Maybe both.

What would you have done differently if you had had a pistol in the car? It sounds to me like you did exactly the right thing.

 

I think I could've used it at least as a threat if not exactly what it was made for. My poor car.

You never know if there were others in his car also. That's one problem when dealing with "ghetto" people. They usually travel in packs like the animals they are.

You did the right thing... sorry about your car though A gun could have complicated issues. But you could have legally shot him had he swung the wrench at you.

P.S. Once you pull the gun out be 100% ready to take someone's life. Otherwise leave it under the seat.

Shoot him first! If you had killed him that would be one less loser running around.
