Honda Canada went the extra mile (long)
Well.....extra kilometer then.
Took delivery of my hardtop last April. All was fine except I didn't get the oval VIN plate. This was before I found out through this forum that only the U.S. hardtops got this. I made several inquiries which seemed fall on deaf ears. "Don't know anything about this. These things don't exist. What are you talking about? Etc, etc, etc." This week, I get a call from High River Honda to say that my VIN plate had shown up. It seems that Honda Canada, Western Division - parts, sent a special request to American Honda to have this plate made up for me - WOW! On top of that, the guy in charge of W. Division parts for Honda, Acura and Honda motorcycles called the dealer on his holidays to make sure I got this plate and that I was satisfied - again, WOW. He also wanted to have the link to this forum so he can see what's going on.
I'm usually the first to complain about poor customer service. Let me also be one who gives credit where it's due. These guys didn't have to do anything. Eventually, I would have "gone away". At least after this, maybe one more set of "Honda eyes" are looking in on us.
