Honda Certified S2k
I've been looking at S2k's here for a month or so. I'm going to go look at this one this week. I think they are high in price, but it is certified. I think I'd pay around $17,000 for this car. Remember, I am in Minnesota, so we don't get to use these like in FL and Cali. The market isn't as large.
Does anyone here have a certified s2k? Is it worth the extra cost?

I used to think that "Certified" was worth the extra money. Then, last year I saw a 2005 S2000 with 24k miles that was "Certified". It was also obviously beat to death. There were so many signs that the car had been severely thrashed. But, with a good detail job, the dealer still had it "Certified".
After seeing that (I passed on it and bought one privately), to me the warranty would offer some assurance and have value, but the "Certified" sticker alone is not a guarantee that the car will be good (at least not the one I saw last year).

I actually almost bought this exact one, they were asking $22k when I was looking at S2ks. I talked them down to $21k, but they would not budge after that, I told them I would pay a slightly lower price in full and they said no.
But that was before the economy went down, so maybe they are more flexible?
