Just do some research on the warranty. Bumper-to-bumper does actually have exclusions, such as lighting & the convertible top. FYI.

I would not have bought my used S without the certified by Honda warranty. I figured some knucklehead teenager probably thrashed it Honda drivetrains are very good so you probably won't have major repairs to deal with, but you'll feel like a dope when you burn out the clutch and no warranty

Buy it now and drive it hard

17K would be a great price, but living in your area it will be kind of hard to get that car the price you want because probably due to just the rarity of the vehicle there.

I bought my vehicle a year ago in olympia washington state. they were asking 249XX. We talk down to 22950 out the door but i have to finance it through their bank and i told them no thank you. I call them a day later telling them ill give you 21500 out the door and bring them a check that same day. They told me they will call me back and the manager call me minutes later and said he will sell it for 21500, i then became a happy buyer haha.

You know whats wierd in washington is that you only get nice hot sunlight in the summer months and the stealership loves to jacked the price as high as they can for convertible tops. I bought mine in the summer time<-----DumbaXX me.

Now i look back the stealership is selling the same car for like 16-18K I am mad as hell man. But i am still happy with my car other than my top is having that freakin wear on it and it will have a hole sooner or later.

Just my .02... If you had the choice... and I understand, in this situation you don't.

BUT, getting an extended warranty is a bit better deal then opting for CPO.

1) CPO is an extra 12K or 1year over the standard 36K/3years (B2B). A warranty you have the choice of time frame.
2) If you sell your can before the Warrenty Expires, you get the balance of the warranty back int he form of a check - IF - you don't sell it with the car.
3) A warranty would cover anything NOT caught by the CPO check - With the exception of brake pads, tires, etc (CPO will make sure wear/tear is 'acceptable' when you buy it).

Best of luck. There are good deals out there. I just nabbed a 07 w/25K for under $21.

The Honda cpo covers the car to 100K miles on the odo and 7 years from date of manufacture (or first sale, can't recall which).
