Thanks for all the input. They dealership is doing the full TSB55, clutch, pressure plate, the works. Said it was completely gone. I have been out of the country the last couple of days so I don't know the status.

BTW, I am here in Antwerp, BE and saw a nice Black and Black with the hard top. It was pretty sweet. I took a pic. When developed I will post for those interested.

Hopefully I will have my baby back tomorrow.

Richard Colliver

its on Honda's website, and its only for the South Central region too. I don't think it would be wise to put that in the FAQs considering what it would be used for. Just not a positive thing. We'd like to push the dealerships into becomming better, but certainly not by flooding their DM with rants from everyone.

Got it back. Going to take it for a gentle drive today. Noticed they tried to do something with the rear window, but the creases are still there and I see double vision at night. (No there is not any other reason!)

My wife, who picked up the car, told more horror stories about this service center. Bottom line, they don't know what service is about.

This is the first Honda we have had in about 6 years. But I have always liked them. My parents had one of the first Accords that hit the shores back in 76.

Thanks for the address. I will contact him and see who handles the Northeast.

They told me the Grind/clutch TSB didn't exist... I printed out a copy of it and brought it back... then he just gave me this dumb look... while I love the car, this will surely be my LAST Honda...

One of the things that everyone seems to not do is to leverage the Sales GM of the dealership. That normally works well.

I have had creases in my rear window since I picked up my 2001 in April of 01. I noted it then. "They'll stretch out" I was told.
This sounds like deja vu, as I experienced the same thing (I also bought mine in April). The difference is, my dealership has been excellent in dealing with any problems I've had, i.e., replaced the drivers side carpet without question and gives "free" oil changes.

I had resigned myself to either trading mine in on an 02 for the glass window or living with the problem. I never thought to question the rear window until reading this forum. I just got off the phone with my dealership and after explaining the problem was told that they would make an appointment to meet with the DSM when he makes his monthly visit this month.

In short, I hope you find the same kind of success...some dealerships are looking for repeat customers and will provide great service.

Thanks to all who posted, leading me to make the phone call!
