Honda Emblems........
I'm new to owning an S2000 so please forgive me for this dumb question. Are the original Honda emblems on the front and rear of the MY01 supposed to be open centered or are they supposed to be colored like the one's on this web site? http://www.handa-accessories.com/s2000-03.html . I bought my car used last Saturday and when I was looking around the car the rear emblem was sticking out about a quarter inch. The salesman took it back to the shop and they said someone put a front emblem on the rear. They are ordering the right one (?). What made me curious was the fact that the front one wasn't very secure either, prompting me to think it too had been replaced. Currently the car has open center emblems but there was no other car to compare it to to figure out if this is correct. Thanks for any responses and again sorry for the dumb question.
Yes the original is an open centered H badge. The JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) I believe uses a colored background on the H (Lots of imitations, soso quality). While ricks badges uses the S badge.
If the badges are loose then I would guess that they were replaced with either the ones you saw or, as mentioned, something like this.
The past owner must have removed them prior to selling cuz there is a buttload of adhesive on the OEM badges (no way they colud be loose IMO)
