This is not correct. The manual says to use Honda MTF or 10W-30 engine oil.

Actually, here is the exact text of what is written in the manual.

"Always use Honda Manual Transmission (MTF). If it is not available, you may use an API service SG, SH or SJ grade motor oil with a viscosity of SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40 as a temporary replacement".

And this one as well...

"Always use Honda Manual Transmission (MTF). Using motor oil can cause stiffer shifting because it does not contain the proper additives".
