insurance ratings depend on company. usually, each company has a different rating system for each car depending on their data. for instance, Farmers insurance group was about $200/6 months higher than American Express for the same coverage. It all depends on underwriters and their interpretations.

Your other problems..well just unlucky...cause I do not have one problem..besides the recall....sorry to hear you have them.....but the quality is still there and just love the car more...cause she will love you back and it will be all good because you still own an S2000.
