Not to mention we get screwed by being forced to take a 2.2 when most of the world still gets a happy 9k red 2.0.

Speak for yourself. I'd rather have my 2.2 over the 2.0 anyday.

Doesn't change my life any, I would still have gotten black with red stitching, and given the choice I would go with the 2.2 over the 2.0 because most all of my driving is around town - people always want what they can't have.

It boils down to personal preference.

I've owned both (both on 04+ bodies, so the diff is only with the engine and gearing). There are times when I wish I kept the 2.2L, and there are times when I feel the 2.0L is better ... not a definite thing imo.

well for the price of the hardtop you can buy here the 2.2 Spoon kit for the F20C. I don't know anybody here who bought that kit (I know many that bought a hardtop thought)

The choice depends on where and how do you drive.. over here, with the F20C you can have more fun. But if I would have to drive on huge highways with no turns and 50mph speed limit I would get a F22C without hesitation.

I still like my S2000. I am sure that there are better cars out there than the S2000, particularly disregarding price. But dollar for dollar, it is the most bang for the buck, and the looks have stayed timeless. The car doesn't look dated one bit. I like the 350Z, but in my opinion, no car has a better gearshift and clutch within a price point of about $20,000.00 of the S2000, the 350Z included. The quality of the interior plastics on the 350Z are not as good as those on the S2000. Even the S2000's engine looks good.

Hang on, I didn't know the instrument clusters on the Euro/JDM AP2s were able to display in mph.

Hmmm, if this is the case, an ECU swap for my F22 just became a bit more appealing. That has been one thing that always stuck in my craw when I bought the S2000. I wanted to buy new, but I really wanted an F20, which were no longer made here in the States.

UK uses the "Imperial System" that means that the speed unit is mph.
