Default Honda S2000 AP1?

Anybody here knows what the AP1 stands for? I searched some Japanese websites, some of them list the S2K as the S2000 AP1, and others just S2000. What the heck is the difference??? Oh, and regarding the new 2002 S2000's, I SHOULDA WAITED!!! Just got my S2000 like 2 1/2 weeks ago. Man o man....

AP1 is the chassis code.
F20C is the engine code.

Regarding the 2002s - I got mine at the end of May, I considered waiting for 2002, but you know what? Every mile since I got it made me happy I didn't wait. The changes aren't earth shattering - enjoy the car

Look at your VIN, the 4th, 5th and 6th digits should be AP1. The Japanese like to refer to their cars by the chassis designation (ie AE86 -Corolla GTS, DC2 -Integra GSR/ITR, SW20 -MR2).
