Honda S2000 US Sales Numbers
I noticed an old post that showed the numbers through MY04, so I thought I'd put up the latest numbers that I found via google at:
http://www.hondanews.com/CatID1007?html=sales.html
These numbers are new car sales for the S2000 in the US:
1999: 3400
2000: 6797
2001: 9682
2002: 9684
2003: 7888
2004: 7320
2005: 7780
2006 thru july:4288 (2005 at july: 4989)
So 2006 is down, but I believe that the list price went up a bit, maybe that's why they're down, along with very little press on the S2000.
Follow the link to see how the S2000 sells compared to other models.

Well, with the great new lease for $299/mo. sales will probably head up for the S2000 for remainder of 06'. Just got mine yesterday

If you read between the lines of the article in Autoweek magazine discussing Honda's plans for the future, you may just get your wish at the end of 2007. I would rate the magazine's insight credibility at the top of all the car publications.

Question about those numbers: Those are the # of S2k's sold in that year, not the # of that particular model year sold...right?
Meaning that the 2005 number probably includes some combination of MY04, MY05, and MY06 in it?
