I don't understand that point of view. At the rate Honda's been selling the S2000, it will never be as common as other cars on the road. I haven't seen any sign of them increasing production, and sometimes the attrition rate from crashes seems high enough that the car will always be uncommon. What would happen if your car was stolen or destroyed in some way? Wouldn't you want to be able to replace it with another newer one?

I'm not offended by seeing ONE other S2000 on the road when I go for an all day drive. That's about the rate I seem them in Southern California.

People assume I use my Dad's $$$(which I don't) to buy my cars cuz I'm 17, but I guess I can't blame them. BTW, I do appreciate my cars, when I bought the S2000 I planned to never modify it and I loved the car, but as soon as I added mods, it made it even more enjoyable. Now I'm doing the same thing to my Civic Si.

I'm curious but what kind of work do you do at 17 (and presumably still in high school) that allows you to own and modfiy the cars you have in your signature? I don't mean to be rude but I'm dumbfounded to see how that math works.

Yea, I want to know how a 17 year old can afford a 2002 civic and an S2000. Either you make a hell of a lot of money, or you just have your priorities backwards... meaning, that you don't save, or invest, have your own place, or any furniture.... etc. I mean, you have over $45,000 in cars but if you don't own any property or invest or save, then you are basically worthless. I bought two homes, furnished one of them, and invested and saved for years before I bought my S. I could have bought it eariler, but I was not about to buy something that did nothing but depreciate before I started building my wealth.

Last thing before I get off the soap box. If you put $45,000 in the right investment at 17, you would be a millionare by 45.

I've been pricing s2000's the last couple of days and I gotta say these dealers are all over the place. Starting from worst to best price wise, I had one dealer tell me there is no way he will move off of M.S.R.P. of 32.600 for an 03 in stock or not. I asked about the dest. charge and he said I think that is included. I know its 460.00 more. Next dealer is 31.960, then 31.900, then31.7 then to Ill. were I got a price of 29.9 for an 03.
