Actually, I think I saw a Boxster without the "Boxster" script on the back. Maybe the owner didn't want anyone to know it was only the base model, and not the "-S"

I've never seen one with the Porsche badges removed though.

around here, lots of base boxsters have their Boxster removed.

it's not as if you can't see the plain-jane brake calipers.

no different than a 3 series owner taking of the badges from 323 or a current gen 325.

Lots of Ss have the Boxster S removed as well.

Two reasons for this:

1) The Bs on the badges are rather fragile and catch on towels when waxing and break easily.

2) Idiots with screwdrivers that like to pry the badges off various vehicles.

I suspect #2 above is the real reason the S2000 owner removed their badges...
