Honda said this?
i stoped by a local dealer to pick up an oil filter. i started talking to one of the techs and he was telling about his 03 si. he told me that since i have 20k+ miles on my car i should start using octane booster every fill up, along with oil treatment and fuel injector cleaner every oil change. i have always been told to stay away from all these in the S. it bothered me that a honda tech was telling me this. won't be bringing my car there. what do you guys think?

They should be used at least once/oil change, preferably done on the last tankful before you change the oil.
Today's gasolines do not have adequate levels of detergent to keep everything clean.
I recommend Red Line SI-2 for continuous (per tank use) or SI-1, Pennzoil Regane, or Techron for once/oilc hange.
I avoid BG 44K - it is really strong, best for cars that have a problem.

I follow what the owner's manual recommends, as this was written by Honda, and it clearly states that no additives are recommended or necessary.
I don't think they would do any harm either, and like most vitamin supplements out there -unless you have some strange eating or driving habits- they are probably overkill.
Cheers,
Daniel

I don't see your problem with Dangarza's post, Road Rage. Read his post again, it doesn't mean he wants it both ways.
1. Honda's recommendation is that additives are not necessary
2. If you do add them then it can't hurt.
There isn't any logical contradiction in these two statements. As Dangarza states, they are probably overkill and a waste of money - they won't necessarily do any harm though.
