Ergh ah no link bud but I hope it points to an RC-51 which looks exactly like the S2K! I raced CBR 600 F3's, RC-45's and RC-51's as a privateer. Let me tell you the RC-51 and S2000 readouts are IDENTICAL (one led and one digital)!

BIG sportbike fanatic here! I too road raced a few years ago on a 600 F2 (before I realized the "kids" on the grid with me were all imortal and had nothing to lose! I am a bit more 'mature' in age). I never gave any thought that the S2K dash and the RC-51 are similar. Thanks for the heads-up Utah S2K! A buddy of mine in the HSTA has an RC and I'm sure we will be comparing notes in the future. As for the future, that Honda concept bike looks mighty tempting! I love the quote about "eye candy" ie: carbon fiber, titanium and machined billet aluminum! Needless to say, Honda NEVER disappoints when it comes to creating some really cool stuff. I enjoy my old Prelude, I LOVE my VFR and now (or soon) I'll have to make some room for an S2000 in my life. What a problem to have! Thank You God!

Bob; I also have a 99 VFR and would love to think that some of the"eye candy" from this new bike may show up in the next generation VFR. Have you put a new can on your VFR, and if so what brand did you choose?

Can I join the VFR Chat Room too?

Chipster....I have a TBR High Mount Oval Carbon Fiber Slip On.....I love it. Sounds great....I love the V-4 sound, but couldn't stand the stock sound.

Hey Chipster!

Yeah, made a few mods to 'Viff; Two Bros carbon fiber high-mount round canister, Corbin smuggler seat, rear 'fenderoctemy', removed the rear pegs and associated bracketry, installed the required K & N air filter, swapped mirrors for model year 2000 mirrors, etc. Got some photos on my web site (although I haven't updated it since last summer, no time! bummer!) See http://bobproctor.sportbikeworld.com Next VFR coming in a couple of years might even be the V-5 that Honda is now testing prior to 2002 GP racing. We can dream can't we?

RC-51 is cool looking. A guy at work just got one last week (1st bike). He's a young guy that only looks like 100lbs and the bike weighs 440lbs. I told him to take it easy on it. I haven't gotten a chance to see her up close. He's suppose to show me soon. He chats about it almost all day on the computer at work. One things he says is that it has no gas gauge.

So tell me guys how did decide that the S2000 was the one for you? As for me, my first thought was I would go for a car or maybe I should say 4 wheels that could give me the thrill that my 2 (Big Red) wheels give me. I figured that I would just make the transition. The more I thought about giving up bikes for a cage the less I liked that notion. Now my thinking is, Hell just own both. I will admit that the paint and drive-train issues have put me off. I will see how the early 02's are received and go from there. I do want a pipe for the VFR, and the 2 Bros. carbon does look nice, maybe I will put one on this summer.
