am i mis-reading something? How can I have a car numbered 10000 something if they only made 9684 in 02...

becuase your VIN is based on world wide and this chart is NA only.

or so im told...

you want a numbered car, buy an ITR, your VIN dosent count IMO.

Ok - I thought the VIN showed that it was a NA bound car and number X out of those... Shouldn't we have tons of people with higher numbers then? I haven't seen anyone post a build number higher than mine... If you add all the markets together I figured there would be a few ppl sporting 16xxx number cars...

I think we would need to look at a USDM VIN as compared to a European VIN and see if there is a difference there. Although, in the library in the VIN explained thread, there seems to be no differentiation between US and European spec VINs.

How could the Prelude numbers be so freakin' low compared to all the others? I see those things EVERYWHERE!

So more people bought S2000's in 2001 than Preludes? That doesn't sound right...

Even so, total sales for '01 seem low. I realize low sales contributed to the lude being discontinued, it's just strange to see more people buying an apparently rare car like the S over a Prelude in a given year.
