Default Hondata intake gasket

Should I get this. Any one have this on their S2K. Did it do anything? Next question would be did you black off the coolant passages?

Someone on this board has his own web site that outlines this whole procedure with pics and everything. I'm not positive who it was but "marcucci" comes to mind. Do a search with his user name and if it is the right person, you'll see a link in his signature that takes you to the info you need. You can also do a search for any or all of "hondata intake gasket".

Here's Todd's writeup of the installation. http://www.s2000.org/mods/insulator/ He did block of the little coolant line.

It can be a real pain in the... hands. Cuts, scrapes, that sort of thing. There's a couple bolts on the underside of the manifold that are a complete b*tch to remove. It'll spill a good bit of coolant on the floor, too.

As for whether it is worth it - he's recorded a 50 degree reduction in manifold temp over the stock gasket, which has the potential for majorly reducing power loss due to heat. YMMV, of course.
