up until now, the S2000 ECU was NOT programmable. therefore, no hondata mod was possible. but the 06 ECU, however, is.
Thats awesome...now I'm jealous of the '06 guys! Hondata has had a HUGE impact in the RSX world with their ECU upgrades.. Granted, there's a lot more room for improvement in the K-series compared to the F-series, but I'm definitely curious to see what they come up with for the S.

I wonder if the 2006 ECU will be swappable into the 00-05 s2ks??

This could give us guys with the 00-05 cars another option besides AEM or an afc.

Not really. You'd need a LOT of cash to do it.

Dont listen to him its not even 92 hp. Its at least like 192 WHP. Hondata gives you fawking awesome gains. I did it and i can rev to 19000 rpms. Its mad tight when it hits VTEC man. Just get Hondata + Mugen cams and exhaust bearings = mad gains dude.
Soo sorry,my bad.!!!
I simply forgot about the exhausts bearings.!!!
I heard,Amuse is working on a new, revolutionary exhaust bearing design, supposed to add another 50 WHP....

heh yeah dude. the 06 has drive by wire. our cars don't. that's one of the BIGGEST hurdles you'd have. there's more even beyond that. honestly, you'd probably be able to buy a turbo for as much as it would cost you to do the hondata and swap in and make adjustements for an 06 ecu to work.

Yeah, but that's only if you put the Hondata stickers on the windows. As soon as you take them off, it's back to 92 RWHP.

Ii find it interesting Hondata is willing to plunge into a very small market for the '06 S. We don't even have word they'll be an '07, although I assume there will be.
