as for your answer, hondata is essentially repgramming your ECU's flash memory. the ECU has a memory chip that stores all of the information regarding how the car runs; what fuel maps, rev limiter, timing, etc. the hondata reflash reprograms your ECU for more aggressive tuning, timing, etc. that's how it gets more power.

Although it is of no use to me, it will be interesting to see how much they can pull out of the S. Considering how high-strung it already is.

As someone who previously had an RSX-S with a hondata reflash, and who has several people in my car group that are running K-Pro, I can say that Hondata for the 06 S2K is huge. I'm extremely jealous of the fact that it isn't even an option for the 00-05 ECU. Once a reflash for the 06 is developed, I'm thinking that a fully programmable ECU (something like an "F-Pro") can't be far behind. You can totally change your fuel maps, ignition, redline, idle, cam angles, EVERYTHING with K-Pro. It's a great mod.

I would be lying if I said I haven't seriously thought about trading in my MY04 for a MY06 or 07 down the road depending on how this whole thing plays out.
