Default Honestly how does this happen twice?

Figured i would share this cause it boggles my mind. Ok my buddy has a stock 08 AP2 with approx 27000 miles and it spins a rod bearing. Honda replaces the shortblock under warranty, then 920 miles later WITH NO ABUSE it spins another rod bearing. Wtf are the odds of that

It's very unlikely. Maybe it was a bad install. Same oil both times? Is it spec oil?

Is he positive they replaced the shortblock? They might have tried to get by with just replacing the rod bearing...

Stealerships mostly do the bare minimum.. but they tell you they did more than that.
