I'd suspect a plugged oil gallery. Which cylinder?

EDIT: This assumes they didn't swap shortblocks. Was it the same rod bearing that failed both times?

This. I bet they slapped a new bearing in it without maintenance and called it a day. That or the install tech slapped a new bearing in it and had nice new short block in his trunk on the way home.
