Default Hood not going quite all the way down

Sometimes when i put my hood down it stops just before the correct sitting position and it can be seen through the rearview mirror. But after it does this it sits in the correct on the next go. Any idea if this is a glitch or trouble to come?

I think its referring to the folding top, and if it isn't sitting properly, the elastic bands are worn out and are not pulling the roof bar back properly for folding. This can damage the top, but the fix is simple enough - replace the elastic straps.

Like they are saying it's the elastic straps. You need these:

http://www.modifry.com/products/ctf/details.htm

Notice what it says about the bar on that page. Until you get the new straps, it's best to push that bar back with your hand as the top goes down. If you don't, you can get a hole in your top! When your top is down without the bar out of the way, you'll see the fabric is stressed by the strikers.

You may also want to check out some other threads that show the other common wear points and take preventative measures to help slow or stop holes from forming at the wear points.

You're welcome and thanks! I was actually just looking at the Monte Carlo Blue color thread the other day and admiring them. Too bad we don't have MCB over here in the US. Next time I take a vacation abroad, I'll be keeping my eyes peeled in hopes of seeing one in person.
