Default Hood Springs

In the s2ki marketplace, it has Sparco hood springs ($25.00). Can someone tell me what these are for? I tried the search but didn't see anything. Thanks.

They are hood lowering springs. They lower the center of gravity and greatly improve your cornering ability. A lot of people prefer to go with the coilover's though. It is a lot easier to adjust the heigth of your hood with the coilovers. If you mostly race on ovals you may want to go with the adjustables so you can have one side of the hood be higher then the other to assist with downforce as well.

Yes, I am a smartass, but I couldn't resist. Actually, I have no idea what they are for, sorry.

Looks like I was wrong:

They should call them "Spring Hooks".
