Hopeful new owner
Looking at a S2000 this afternoon. 2007, red, 15,000 miles. Price is very reasonable. Still under warranty so mechanicals are too much of a concern. One owner clean carfax. Anything you folks can suggest I look at that would concern a 2007?
PS Was looking for a Miata/MR2 Spyder for my wife. Drove an S2000 and was blown away! Must have one......

Where's the car being sold? You can save money by buying privately but I like to have a dealer's approval on my cars. Consider what the warranty covers as well.
Hope you buy it. I just got mine a few months back and have never looked back.

On a 07 with those miles I'd make sure the top isn't torn and the tires are good. Also check for the VIN stickers on every body panel, that will tell you if it had body work in those areas.
Search will show you where the stickers are and common problem areas with the top.
Also, you should be able to call Honda with the VIN to find out the in-service date and the exact time left on the warranty.

A 3 year old car with 15k miles actually sounds pretty good to me. Anyways, as the other members have stated, check to make sure all vin stickers are there. As far as the tires go, just check to see where there at and you can almost tell how the car has been driven. If it's worn out, maybe you can get them to drop the price even more. Good luck with the purchase.

Definitely check the tires, as 15k is right about the point where the rears will have either been replaced recently, or will need replacing soon.
You'll need matching tires, so if the fronts are still the OEM RE-050's (they should be at 15k miles) make sure the rears are also RE-050's. If they're not, you'll probably need to swap them out, and that will run you about $170/per, so keep that in mind when negotiating. Sometimes dealerships will put on "new" tires just to sell the car, but they can be really cheap tires.
Don't skimp on tires.

you'll become paranoid and end up buying nothing if you worry too much about the condition of the car. It looks relatively new with very few miles, i think it's safe to generalize that when someone buys a car new or lease's a new car that they are more likely to take good care and maintain all scheduled maintenance routines...it's just an assumption. So if the car fax is clean and u have the maintenance records, sometimes they show up on the carfax if it's been maintained at a dealer. The carfax when i bought my car showed dealer maintenance records, not full, but enough to know that it went to routine maintenance.
If all the buttons work and the engine and transmission are in good shape, really, that's the most important thing.

Maybe 2slow was saying that a 3 year old Honda with 15k is a pretty safe bet. I'd agree, but there is a long list of crap that I would inspect before handing over $20k on anything, new or used.
