I have Air horn. When I have to us them, the cars/trucks move out of my lane and them look. With the OEM horns, they just keep comming.

I went through two sets of air horns in my Miata. I believe they were made by Hella. That car suffered "small car syndrom" and I almost got killed a few times by trucks changing lanes with me in their blind spot. They were loud, but after a while the compressors failed. I wound up going back two electric "Highway Blasters" for about the same dB, but more reliable.

I actually like the horns in the AP2's. Yes, they sound like your average American sedan horn, but considering how much I use it (just about never), it's nice to have something that'll get someones attention.

I used my horn for the first time on the road yesterday since I got the car 6 months ago.

the ap1 horn is a joke. I don't see why anyone would prefer it over something that has more balls. I'm seriously better off with a bicycle clown horn

Air horns all the way. I hated my AP1 horn as well. Even with two they sounded wimpy.
