Default Horsepower at the wheels

I would appreciate if anyone can give feedback on what horsepower they have achieved at the wheels of a S2 with a dynamometer. I have dynoed my 02 with a Rhemus exhaust and AEM intake and got 195 SAE max. With the stock exhaust and intake I got 198 SAE. Assuming 15% drivetrain loss with the stock set up that means I got 233 at the crank. What happened to the 240 advertised at the crank?. Again any feedback would be appreciated.

On a RWD car, you're looking at around 20% or more of a loss. The type of dyno used to find the whp can also affect the outcome. The Dynojet units usually show a 22-25% drivetrain loss.

I would assume 15% for FWD cars.

Do a search for "dyno day" in the North Texas forum, and you'll find lots of scanned dyno charts.

Results ranged from 188 to 204, I think. (Different cars, different days.)

On the top left of the s2ki screen, there's a "Clubs" button. Click that, and you'll find the North Texas forum on the right side.
