Default Houston, Mach 0.9, Was that Unicron?

Sorry this is so after-the-fact--just got back. May 8th, driving through Houston, on I-10 toward San Antonio... finishing up some fries and a coke, been driving all day... suddenly a bizarro S2000 blows past me in lead-trail formation with some pilot-fish wanabe Isuzu Impulse or something... mustuh been going over 100 mph... I drop fries on floorboard, excited to see another nearly identical S2K in the wild ON MY SIDE OF THE ROAD, and punch it, Chewie... but I am just too freaked to go as fast as this insanemuthuh... I back off the accelerator, he powers ahead with the pilot fish on his six, disappearing in a cluster of semis... Which Houstook was that? Anyone here?

I've just spent 6 weeks in San Antonio as a trainer/evaluator for college Air Force ROTC cadets attending thier required summer field training. I would have mosied on up to Austin or tried to hook up with some of the San Antonio owners but I was working 19 hour days 4 weeks straight, no days off. Benefits of an Air Force career.

If that stook was you, great--if somewhat reckless--driving. I salute you. And the pilot fish.

Got any more details?

What color was the stook?
What time was it?
Where on I-10?
Were there any cops around?

George,

Haha! If it was me...I didn't mean to alert you!

I work on I-10 and Dairy Ashford.

I get so frustrated with 59 in the morning (30 MPH), that when I hit beltway 8 North and I-10 West...I drive as fast hell. All kinds of cars mess with me on my route to work (I return the favor).

My favorite is the beltway 8 ramp to I-10 west...if there is a clear path...I will be hauling ass down I-10.

I also drive pretty nutz after my lunch break going back to work (anywhere from 12:00 to 3:00 PM).
