If you are interested in purchasing one share of Honda Motor Company it currently costs about $120 (including brokerage fee).

I've purchased a single share of stock of a variety of companies for myself and as gifts through OneShare.com. I've always been pleased with their service.

Once you buy a share, you will begin to receive Honda's annual and quarterly financial reports because you are a stockholder of Honda!

You will also receive a Honda stock certificate with your name printed as a shareholder which is beautiful to have framed and displayed.

If you're a big Honda fan like me this is a great way of taking your enthusiasm to the next level.

Here's the link to order:

Seems like a high premium..

HMC trades right now at ~$84 and a discount broker will do the trade for ~$9 to $15.. is the extra cost just because there is no minimum deposit?

There's no minimum deposit, you don't have to open an account, and you receive a perfect unfolded stock certificate.

Just try to buy one share of a stock -- plus the certificate -- through a regular stockbroker and you'll learn what a deal this is!

the additional price is in the frame and profit for this company.

on a side note, Playboy enterprises once did a 2 for 1 reverse stock split to that allowed the company to buy out all the middle aged men who had purchased only one share of playboy. it's very costly to have to send out the financials and all other legal requirements to someone whose investment is less than how much you spend on them.

This price does not include a frame.

You can frame the certificate yourself or have OneShare.com frame it for you for an additional charge.

Good point. It's also very costly to print stock certificates and mail them to stockholders.

Many brokers expect that companies will stop issuing hardcopy stock certificates in the future.

For example, BMW no longer issues stock certificates.

So, if you've ever wanted to own a share of Honda stock and have the certificate to prove it, don't wait too long!

Thanks, place my order for AOL and HMC. Too bad there was no mention of a possible discount code that anybody might have known of.

You are right.. found this at my favorite broker site:

We will charge $75 per stock certificate (not per stock) that is sent out in registered form (in the customer's name).

It's a great idea, buying Honda stock that is, but I'm not so sure it's worth all that extra $ just to have a stock certificate in hand. Think I will call my broker and get some though.
