I just bought mine a few weeks ago. I used to own a 99' Prelude but it was totalled after a Navigator T-boned me. It's an 01' with 43k miles and in great condition. I financed through the dealer, $18,995 ($20,400 after tax)paid 9k down and its $202 for 60 months, plus insurance. I spend nearly every dime I have paying for it but it's worth it, shit I'm only 19 yrs old.
Take good care of it.

Hi,
I recently went through the same experience. I looked on autotrader for a few weeks and checked local E-bay listings to see what the "going rate" was for the different years/mileage.
I went to the bank and got pre-approved for a loan ~$20,000 and then started looking at cars.
I ended up buying a 2000 with 33k miles for $20,000. It's in great shape but I took it to the dealer to have them look at it. I'm not sure if it's worth the $80 or not to do this but it's peace of mind for me. This car also has a Hondacare warranty for whatever that's worth, good till 70k miles or 2007 for me.
Buying from a private seller and getting a bank loan, you don't get the best rate on earth (I think I got 6.25ish) but I think it's better than buying from a dealer because you don't have to pay their overhead.
Cheers
