Default How buzzy is the S2K at say 80 MPH?

I've read in various magazine reviews that the S2K can be a bit difficult to take because it's kind of "buzzy" at freeway speeds, so I thought I'd get people's take on if the engine noise/vibration gets on your nerves after say several hours at 80 MPH on a road trip...

For example, Las Vegas for me is a 12 hour freeway drive away; would it be no problem or would I want to shoot myself somewhere in Utah?

I had no problems on a 10 hour trip going between 75 and 90. The driver's seat is great for long trips but my wife had problems when she was trying to sleep.

The S2000 is a bit unique in it's class because it doesn't have a lot of sound proofing. You will hear a lot of what's going on. I drive 7-9 hrs each way to the Bay Area and back about once a month. It doesn't bother me. Top down you just hear wind but top up tends to make the interior a cone of noise. I assume you'll do long trips top up mostly.

Like I said, you get used to it. Maybe the newer models aren't as bad as my 00.

Definitely more noisy than the average family car, but not unbearable. My wife and I did a trip to Central Florida, 7 hours each way, a couple of weeks ago - most speeds in the 70's. You need to turn the radio up a bit, but not extremely so, and the engine hum is there in the background. The biggest problem on long trips is being able to pack your luggage.

"Buzzy" is a bad term, makes it sound cheap. The car revs about 5000rpm at 90 mph, so you get ton of engine noise, but thats the reason this car is so fun. I love that noise!!!
