Default How can I turn off DRLs?

Every time I turn the car on those goddamn lights come on. How can I permanently disable it?

Some good rewiring....I need to see the helms manual wiring schematics to see if you can just pop that fuse...until then, I dont know what else DRLs are wired into.

Yeah, I hate DRL's too.
When I owned my Gti there was a mod that could be done to the switch that turned on the headlights which disabled the DRL's.

I don't have DRLs in my '00 but I ALWAYS run with my headlights on. Maybe you will grow to appreciate DRLs after the first couple times you almost get run off the road because you weren't visible to the huge SUV driver

I can agree with this, however having your lights on and having DRL's are really different as far as light output. I have DRL's on my MY00 and I always turn on my lights, just for the reason you stated. I like to make sure people see me. And the regular headlights are much brighter than the DRL's. Those are just dimming down the high beam.

Plus, they look goofy on this car.
