Default How to clean carbon fiber on my S2000?

Guys, the carbon fiber end plates on my APR mini drag wing have become potted with what appears to be grey specks. My friend thinks it's acid rain. I can't for the life of me clean them off but if I scratch at them with the tip of my nail, they seem to disappear but the next day, they're back. It's been raining out here all week so maybe it is acid rain. Any idea what might return the end plates back to normal carbon fiber appearance?

Does it have a clearcoated top layer? If so try using a claybar, that should do the trick in removing the grey dots. I never tried claybar on CF before so do it on the underside first to see what will happen.
