financed it for 60 months about 4 years ago and paid it off last july. No car payments FTW!

Bought it new in '09, doing payments, owe about 10k still. Looking forward to sending that last payment in, then both my cars will be paid off.

Bought it new for cash. It was a bad decision, though. Took the money out of the market and paid through the nose in taxes.

Those aren't the only options. Used cars can be financed.

New 2007 bought about $9K down and the rest in 3 years; did the wife's RSX-S the same way.

Don't like long payment spans. With the house paid off thinking about building cash reserves to get future new cars bought for cash. OTOH, stupidly low loan % rates might have me rethink that.

New in 2003. $21K down, financed the remainder for 24 months. It's been 7 years without a payment!
