took me 1 hr to install it you will need to get the car high up in the air.... i used regular ramps plus a jack to lift it an additional 6-9 inches just to pull the header under the car.

If you need help PM me i can lend you a hand.... it took 2 guys to do my car 1 guy can do it but 2 is better one can watch up top as you guide the old header out and guide it back on.

very simple DIY!

I purcahsed a new Exhast gasket, flange seal ring, and also new manifold nuts. about 58 bucks worth of parts. didn't use any liquid seal on any thing simply bolted it and after 200 miles i retorque the bolts.

I don't know the torque specs of them i basically turn them snug and added 180. when i retorque i did 45 deg additonal. when i checked it after 200 miles none of then needed to be retorqued.
That would be sweet, I will IM you when I get it in! You sure you want to drive all the way out here?

I guess dinner's on me!

Can you let me know what the torque specs are?
That would be great?

Is this located in the manual that HandA.com sells for $78?

Well the first one is pretty easy. If you figure out how to mount the other header, let me know.

Your car has ONE header, not headerS.

I just talked to Ben from Honda and he said that the Mugen Header is very difficult to install and that the engine mounts have to be removed.

He says its not a bolt on/off operation.

Anyone have any experience?

Sounds like he wants to sell you installation services at an inflated rate.

Do a search on here, you will find instructions. You do NOT need to remove the motor mounts.

Headers are cake, just make sure to get the front up high enough to be able to get the old manifold out and the new on back in from the bottom.

I have done extensive work on a 99 4Runner and if your Taco was a V6 I can promise you this header is much easier than the install on your Taco. I have no experience with 4cyl models though...

I had a 02 V6 Tacoma. I have NEVER done headers that difficult, it took me almost the whole day. I would of paid $200 for someone else to do it.

That is why I am so hesistant on doing this myself because not all apps are so easy. When I was going to do the Tacoma, everyone said "oh yea, simple swap."
