How do electronic window regulators fix themselves?

roll it up and down fully 3 times. then the auto down should work again.

I have sn '02 with the same problem. It seems like the auto down feature is the cause of the window not going down though. Sometimes it works fine when lowering the top or hitting the auto down, and other times it only goes down a couple inches before stopping. WEird.
