For your own safety, forget about "launching" the car for a while. It's more important that you get some driving experience first. Don't jeopardize your life, someone elses life or your new license for that matter. Take some time and learn about the car you're lucky enough to drive. Sorry, I know this is not what you want to hear. Have fun!

I agree with HI SPEEDR. Enjoy driving your S for a while first, and get used to how it handles and everything before you go tearing the damn thing apart with 7000 RPM launches.

You can have a lot more fun in your S without worrying about "launching" it. It is the wrong car for that anyway. This car is about finesse and feel, control and precision. Many lesser cars can be launched but only a few select can make you giddy with delight. Enjoy the car as it was meant to be enjoyed you lucky dog! :-)

Ditto to what everybody here said, "NOT YET, NOT NOW!!!", or may be not this car too.

I remember my first(and few) VTEC, it was awfully, bloody handful!!! I have some experiance, but this car is one of the most busiest car to drive fast! Trust me, or anyone on this, please.

Lots of people here do a good launch on this car, they might chime in shortly. But remember, the limit is something you can step closer to it, not jump to it!

Scared, and your first RWD?

Now that you have Supercharger!, 'cmon!, who are you kidding?

I can see it's been quite an awesome gaining process there, huh?

well, I am 19 and all I can say is that when you are paying for your own tires you are not going to be doing much launching. Enjoy some VTECs but launching is kinda worthless.

If you want to do something stupid:
Go to an empty parking lot. Stop. Turn the wheel completely and floor it. Doughnut....mmmm(Homer Voice). But you didn't hear it from me buddy.
Do this once to get it out of your system and DON'T get caught. Cops don't like doughnuts when you are doing them in your car...Wait I made a funny

Well it was only 10 years since I was 16 and I know this kid doesn't want to get lectured. I am sure he gets enough of it at home. To answer his question: I would say rev to 6000-7000 (depending on weather, road conditions, i.e. the better the road/conditions, the more you have to rev. and pop the clutch and hang on for dear life. You pop the clutch by slipping your foot off the side of the clutch making it pop up naturally by the springs in the clutch.
